I grew up in Hawke’s Bay and gained my medical degree from the University of Auckland. After completing my general orthopaedic training in New Zealand, I undertook two fellowships in Melbourne, Australia; one at The Alfred Hospital working in the areas of trauma surgery, pelvis and acetabular fracture surgery and hip replacement, and another specialising in sports knee and knee replacement surgery. I have also completed a paediatric orthopaedic fellowship at Starship Children’s Hospital.
I currently hold a position as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Hawkes Bay Hospital, and also consult and operate at Royston Hospital.
