Alex is a New Zealand-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in hip and knee replacements, with additional expertise in spinal surgery. After qualifying as an orthopaedic surgeon, he completed fellowship training in both Wellington and Adelaide. Following this training, he worked as a spinal surgeon at the Royal Adelaide Hospital before returning home to Hawkes Bay with his family.
In his clinical practice, Alex is dedicated to providing advanced care for hip and knee conditions, using state-of-the-art techniques to improve patient outcomes. His experience in spinal surgery enhances his comprehensive approach to orthopaedic care, allowing him to address a wide range of musculoskeletal issues.
Beyond his clinical work, Alex is committed to surgical education. As an educator with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, he plays an important role in training and mentoring emerging surgeons, demonstrating his dedication to both clinical excellence and the advancement of the field through educational leadership.
